Gobi stir fry


Gobi stir fry is a side dish that can be a quick fix when in a hurry. It can be served as a side dish with chapathi or phulka or enjoy as it is.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup cauliflower florets
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
METHOD:
  1. Boil cauliflower florets in water for 2 to 3 minutes. Drain water and keep aside.
  2. In a bowl, add gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder and salt. Add few drops of water and make a marinade. 
  3. Add the boiled cauliflower florets and mix well. Let it coat well. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  4. In a wok or pan add a tbsp oil and temper cumin seeds.
  5. Add in the marinated gobi florets.
  6. Saute them for few minutes until they turn crisp and golden.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it hot as it is or as a side dish.
